If a psychedelic trip back to 1970s hard rock sounds like fun, then you'll definitely want to be at the Spanish Moon this weekend. The Austin-based band Lions is bringing their retro riffage to Baton Rouge.Since the band formed in 2005, they've put out an EP in addition to their full length album, No Generation. You may have also heard (or even played) their song, "Metal Heavy Lady" on Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.
Their furious guitar play, backed by pounding drums, creates a combination of Black Sabbath and early '90s Soundgarden. Those familiar with the Aussie trio Wolfmother will dig the screeching sounds of Lions.
